Surveyors of Land - Episode 13 "Disaster Truck"

This is the second episode of the web series "Surveyors of Land" created by Clay Ostrom that I have worked on.

This time, a shady new service arrives where Burt, Frankie, and company are working.

Like the previous episode, we went from creating the script, and recording the voices (that was Clay's part) to creating the storyboard, animatic, lip sync, and animations (My part).

For this episode we introduced Miklos, the owner of the food truck "D.I.P.S.H.T.S.". Here he is with the rest of the cast in a size comparing drawing:

Frankie, Burt, Dwayne, Peanut, Ted, and the new character Miklos.

Beside the new character, we also created new assets needed for the episode including a leveling device, the food truck, and different proposals for the logo (made by Michael Loya, our Background artist, and animation consultant):

Surveyors of Land - Episode 12 "New" Boss"

"Surveyors of Land" is an flash animated series created by Clay Ostrom, about two land surveyors, Frankie and Burt:

While Burt has a deep appreciation for his craft, Frankie is waiting for that big opportunity to become an actor.

I worked with Clay for the episode 12 of the series, "New Boss", and I took the duties of re-design the characters, and animate them. As well as doing the storyboard and the lip sync.

We ended up with the "C" look, but we made further tweaks after those, and they ended up looking like these:

Frankie, Burt, Dwayne, Peanut, and Ted.

And this is the storyboard for the episode. The left side is the first draft, and the right side has the corrections and feedback of Michael Loya, who also design the backgrounds of the episode.

Octopus Paul the Psychic Animations

This is a video with some of the animations I did for this Iphone game a couple of months back.

This game was developed by Teravision Games.

This game is based in the octopus of World Cup fame, which I think had already passed to a better life. The whole game is based in giving him two choices (Goku or Superman?; Inception, or Paprika?), so he can choose between the two of them.

He also works as an 8-ball of Pool, giving you a "Yes", "No", or a "Maybe".

I made others animations that I didn't include in this video like when Paul is mad, or when Paul is holding a sign , or when Paul is laughing out loud,etc.

Today, I will share with you a short that a friend of mine sent me. "Out of Sight":

Just as the Plastic Man T.V. Pilot, there is a lot of things I like about this one:

It doesn't have the wackiness of Plastic Man, but it capitalized in its own attributes:

- Synchronized music with action on screen.

- Cute, and simple characters, soft colors. Very appealing. I mean, Look at it, just watch it!

- The Theme they used works perfectly in animation media.
